The biennial meeting of Bihar Buddhiwadi Samaj (Bihar Rationalist Society – BRS) was held on 9th March, 2003, at Buddhiwadi Seminar Hall, S. K. Puri, Patna.
 
President of the organization, Dr. Kawaljeet, presented a report on the activities of the Society. She also placed before the members a plan for next two years. The BRS will organize a Humanist Conference in January, 2005, at Patna on completing twenty years of its existence. It will also bring out a publication in Hindi to mark the occasion.
 
A seminar on “the role of rational humanists in the present context” was also organized on the occasion of the biennial. Introducing the subject, Dr. Ramendra, founder of the BRS, emphasized the need for promoting rational-scientific outlook and a secular, rational ethics based on basic human needs. He outlined the role of rational humanists in the various spheres of life such as intellectual, moral, social, political, economic and educational. The BRS has decided to organize a series of seminars on the various aspects of the subject in run up to the proposed humanist conference in 2005.
