The organizational structure of Bihar Buddhiwadi Samaj (Bihar Rationalist Society-BRS ) is a combination of Trust and Society structure. Like a Trust, it has a Management  Committee consisting of four life-trustees, namely, Ramendra, Kawaljeet, Kiran Nath and Shivendra Nath.  The Management Committee is responsible for managing day to day affairs of the organization. It can elect office-bearers from among the members of the Management Committee, and appoint part-time or whole-time paid staff for this purpose. The Management Committee can frame and  change rules and regulations of the organization. However, they have no authority to change the name and aims of the  organization.  

Unlike a Trust and like a Society, the BRS is a membership-organization. Any one who is an adult and is in general agreement with the aims of the Society can become a life member  or annual member by paying a fee of Rs300/- and Rs.30/- respectively.

Rights of Members:

Members are entitled to receive free copies of Buddhiwadi, an eight-page Hindi quarterly, published by the Buddhiwadi Foundation. Members can contribute letters (250 words) and articles (800 words), poems, book reviews, etc. to the journal.

Members are entitled to receive on demand free copies of Buddhiwadi Newsletter, a four-page occasional English publication of the Foundation.

Members are entitled to 10% discount on all the publications of the BRS and the Buddhiwadi Foundation.

Members can use the facilities of the Buddhiwadi Study and Research Centre, a reference library of humanist literature, at a reduced rate.

Every two years the BRS holds a general meeting of its members in which the President presents a report on the activities of the organization. Members are entitled to participate in this meeting and give their suggestions for improving the functioning of the Society.

Members are entitled to be informed about all the programs, including seminars, organized by the Society. They can express their views in these seminars.
